What's your role and professional background?
Director – Support Coordinator-
After gaining experience in the Criminal Justice system and delving into the study of Social Science with a focus on Justice, I made a pivotal decision to transition to Community work, a choice I've never regretted. I've had the privilege to play a role in establishing and securing government funding for a variety of non-profit organizations, spanning from those dedicated to Aged Care to supporting individuals with Spinal Injuries. This funding has assisted in establishing supports and services both in Victoria and New South Wales.
Outside of work, what are your interests?
Well I’m from Victoria, so it’s easy to say I love my sport, my passion is AFL (Tigers) and NRL (Souths). I love being with my family and my world is my little man George and my partner Ron. I love to cook and bake when I can find the time.
What do you think sets Support Collective apart in providing quality supports to our participants?
Passion, we love what we do, and it shows. We are all dedicated to our participants, and we want to ensure we fight to get the very best for them. Anything less is just not good enough. We feel the up and downs of the NDIA with the participants, we take part in the daily journey and feel the hurt and the excitement when they achieve small goals. We are a standalone Support Coordination company, to ensure no conflict of interest and this to Support Collective is important. We are about and for the participant. Its that simple.
What's a fun fact about you that people might not know?
I love Christmas maybe a little too much. I also love Astronomy, my partner got me a telescope for Christmas, so far, I have managed to find the moon. So needless to say, I’m still learning how to use it.
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
Witnessing the transformations in people's lives, knowing that I played a part in that change, and collaborating with other providers toward a common goal have been immensely fulfilling experiences for me. In the Hunter region, we are fortunate to have some of the most remarkable and talented providers, and together, we strive to ensure the best possible outcomes for our participants. Additionally, I've had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional Support Coordination team and business partner, further enriching my journey in this field.
