What's your role and professional background?
I currently serve as an NDIS Support Coordinator, having devoted nearly five years to this field. Prior to my involvement in the disability sector, I spent over a decade working in the medical field. Throughout my professional journey, spanning more than 15 years, I've consistently found joy in providing assistance and support to individuals.
Outside of work, what are your interests?
My primary passion revolves around my horses, and I've been engaged in weekend competitions throughout my entire life. Managing a total of six horses, shared between myself and my children, ensures that our time outside of work is consistently occupied and fulfilling.
What do you think sets Support Collective apart in providing quality supports to our participants?
Support Collective, a compact organization dedicated to coordinating services for NDIS Clients, prides itself on a team that authentically cares for our clients, valuing each individual beyond mere numbers. Collaboratively, we strive to prioritize our clients' voices, respect their perspectives, and actively contribute to the achievement of their goals.
What's a fun fact about you that people might not know?
An interesting face about me is that I embrace a country lifestyle, favouring boots and jeans over more formal attire and the hustle and bustle of city living.
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
I derive immense satisfaction from witnessing NDIS participants as they immerse themselves in their community, establish connections with therapists, forge meaningful relationships, and successfully accomplish their goals. Observing positive transformations in a participant's life brings a genuine smile to my face, and being a part of that journey means the world to me.
